THE PROJECT

The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) as part of its strategic goal to meet the e-government strategy and provide accessible, responsive, transformed, developed and regulated services for all, through technology, sought for the redevelopment of its website to be dynamic, content driven and reflect its organisational values. Furthermore, it needed an intranet that will improve its collaboration environment and operational efficiency.

“We saw many tablets that offered the waterproofing we required. However, we felt that only the Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet could withstand the tough conditions of travel onboard a ship.”

Masayuki Kawase,
Managing Director, Japan Marine Science

“Tests proved that the Dell Rugged tablet could operate more than 10 hours without an external power supply, and contact with seawater was not an issue."

Masuda Kenji,
Senior Instructor and Maritime Service Team Manager, Japan Marine Science

THE PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM

The intranet provides various stakeholders and employees with a central hub of organisational information, as well as fostering collaboration and learning amongst users and on the other hand the website provides an overview of what the council does, their mandates, current programmes, research projects, appeals and key contacts.

Our comprehensive software design, combined with bespoke page template designs, provided The CBE with a system which met their specific needs to deploy an intranet and website which would engage and excite their users.
